They do not need an email address or a Google account. As a parent, open Add child profile, enter a name, pick an avatar and set a 4-digit PIN. Boba generates a 6-character pairing code. On your child's device, choose Child on the welcome screen and enter that code plus the PIN.
Yes. Sign out from the parent side and sign in as the child, and back again. Both work on a single device — you just cannot be both at once.
Yes, with Boba Pro. The family owner opens Family members → Create invite code and shares the 6-character code. The second parent signs in with their own Google account, enters the code, and the owner approves the request. Invite codes last 24 hours and work once.
Because approval is the point. A child marks a chore as done, you check it, and the coins and XP are credited the moment you approve. If it is not done properly, tap Reject and the chore goes back to their list.
Rejecting sends it back to be done again — it is reversible. Deleting removes the chore from your child's list entirely and it cannot be redone. Coins already earned from it are never taken back.
Every approved chore also awards XP. Ten XP is one level. The journey is a path of levels where you can pin a special prize to a specific level; your child unlocks it by getting there. The journey is a Pro feature.
Yes — set a chore to daily or weekly. Once you approve it, Boba schedules a fresh copy for the next day or the next week automatically.
Switch on Require a proof photo when creating a chore. Your child then has to attach a photo from their gallery or camera before they can submit. You see a thumbnail on the approval screen and can open it full size. This is a Pro feature.
Proof photos are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, to keep storage small and to avoid holding on to pictures of your child indefinitely. Tap Save to gallery on the approval screen to keep one.
Check that (1) you are on Boba Pro — push is a Pro feature, (2) Android notification permission is granted for Boba in system settings, and (3) you are signed in as a parent. Only parents receive push notifications; a child's device shows activity inside the app instead.
Boba sends notifications in the language you picked in Settings → Language. Notifications created before you changed the language keep the old wording; new ones follow the new setting.

In the Play Store: profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Boba → Cancel subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
Only what you type in — a name, an avatar and a PIN, which is stored as a one-way hash — plus their in-app progress. No email, no phone number, no location, no advertising identifier. Boba contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking. See the Privacy Policy.

Email us and we can reset it, or delete and recreate the child profile — note that recreating starts their coins and XP from zero, so ask us for a reset if the progress matters.
